Chip Clark leads Altido Therapeutics as Chief Executive Officer, bringing more than three decades of leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Prior to Altido, Chip served as Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vibrant Biomedicines, a venture-backed company developing vaccines against bacterial pathogens. He also served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Genocea Biosciences after co-founding Vanda Pharmaceuticals and acting as Chief Business Officer. Earlier, he served as a Principal at Care Capital, LLC, a biopharma venture capital firm. He started his career at SmithKline Beecham Corporation (now part of GlaxoSmithKline plc) in a variety of managerial roles. Chip currently serves on the boards of Aldeyra Therapeutics, MassBio, iBio, and Life Science Cares Boston.

Chip holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Harvard University.

Kate Lewis serves as Chief Operating Officer at Altido Therapeutics, where she leads operational strategy and execution.

Prior to Altido, she most recently served as Vice President of Portfolio Strategy & Operations at SalioGen Therapeutics, an early-stage transposon-based gene editing company. Kate previously acted as Vice President, Program Lead at Syndax Pharmaceuticals overseeing the Revuforj program, and Vice President, Global Program Executive at AAV gene therapy company Freeline, where she established program and portfolio management capabilities. Kate spent more than six years at bluebird bio in roles spanning Medical Affairs and Program Leadership, including leading the development of Zynteglo and Lyfgenia, . Before bluebird, Kate held roles in Medical Affairs, Strategic Communications and Program Management at Biogen and Genzyme.

Kate holds a B.A. in English Literature, magna cum laude, from Pomona College, and an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Iowa.

Ray Stapleton, Jr. serves as Chief Technology Officer at Altido Therapeutics, where he leads CMC, manufacturing, and technical operations strategy.

Prior to Altido, Ray was Chief Technology Officer at Vaxart, Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing oral recombinant vaccines, where he led CMC functions spanning drug substance and drug product development, manufacturing, MSAT, quality, and supply chain. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President at Genocea Biosciences, leading process and analytical development, manufacturing, and quality for the company’s personalized cancer immunotherapy programs. Prior roles also include President and Chief Operating Officer of ATCC, the global biological materials and standards organization; and as Senior Vice President of Technical Operations at Iovance Biotherapeutics and Synthetic Biologics. Earlier, Ray spent over 15 years at Merck, advancing from Manager, Quality Operations Microbiology to Executive Director, Global Vaccines Technology and Engineering, leading manufacturing validation, process engineering, and continuous improvement programs across vaccines, biologics, and sterile products.

Ray holds a Ph.D. in Microbial Ecology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with postdoctoral training in biogeochemistry and extremophile microbiology at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Mary Washington.

Mike Lebel serves as Vice President, Project Leadership & Business Operations at Altido Therapeutics, where he drives cross-functional program execution and operational strategy.

Prior to Alitdo, he served in VP-level strategy and operations roles at Vibrant Biomedicines and Manta Medicines. Earlier, Mike was Vice President of Business Development at Casma Therapeutics and Vice President, Strategic Alliance Management at Ipsen. He spent more than six years at Celgene, advancing from Associate Director to Executive Director, BD & Global Alliances, where he led business development and global alliance activities. His earlier career included project management and alliance roles at Avila Therapeutics, Momenta Pharmaceuticals, and Shire Pharmaceuticals.

Mike holds an MBA from Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Maine.

Nick Keener serves as Vice President, CMC Strategy and Development at Altido Therapeutics, where he leads strategic planning across chemistry, manufacturing, and controls for the Company’s therapeutic pipeline.

Prior to Altido, Nick acted as Vice President of Process, Data and Manufacturing Sciences at bluebird bio where he oversaw CMC lifecycle strategy across lentiviral vector and autologous cell therapy products, contributing to the EU approval of Zynteglo® and the March 2021 U.S. approval of Abecma® - the first CAR-T therapy approved for multiple myeloma. Nick began his biopharmaceutical career at Amgen as a post-doctoral fellow, where over his fifteen-year tenure he held roles of increasing responsibilities from principal scientist to director of process development and led the Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) organizations at the company’s largest manufacturing site, supporting multiple blockbuster products.

Nick holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University.

Riccardo Biavasco serves as Associate Director of Analytical Development at Altido Therapeutics, where he leads the development of analytical methods.

Prior to Altido, Riccardo served as Associate Director at Vor Bio and as Senior Scientist at Beam Therapeutics. He began his industry career at bluebird bio, working in the company’s Analytical Development group, where he applied his expertise in gene therapy and hematopoietic stem cell biology – coordinating the development of characterization assays for hematopoietic stem cell drug products, including transduction efficiency, drug product phenotyping, and functional characterization of cell health, proliferation, and differentiation potential.

Riccardo holds a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology, completed at the Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy, where his research focused on the development of a humanized mouse model for myeloid inflammatory neoplasms and the role of aberrant cellular senescence in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. He earned both his M.Sc. in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnologies and his B.Sc. in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies from San Raffaele University, with thesis work on Erdheim-Chester disease and the development of gene therapy for β-thalassemia, respectively.
