Who We Are
Altido Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company advancing a novel T cell-based immunotherapy platform, CAR-TEAM, with a dual mechanism approach built to reach and engage difficult-to-treat solid tumors, like glioblastoma, that have long resisted conventional approaches. Our mission is to help improve the lives and outcomes of patients with glioblastoma and other drug-resistant cancers. We are backed by ARCH Venture Partners and Mass General Brigham Ventures and led by a team with deep experience building and leading cell and gene therapy companies.
Our Science
We built our CAR-TEAM platform to bring the full power of cellular immunotherapy to the most challenging cancers, starting with glioblastoma (GBM).
Our platform comes from Mass General Brigham and the lab of Marcela Maus, MD, PhD, a pioneering CAR-T researcher. It combines two established modalities — chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells and bispecific T-cell–engaging antibody molecules (TEAMs) — into a single, autologous product that we call CAR-TEAM.
Each dose is designed to attack tumors from two angles at once: a patient’s own T cells are genetically modified to express a CAR targeting one tumor antigen and to simultaneously secrete TEAMs that direct both CAR-T and bystander T cells against a second antigen. This dual mechanism is purpose-built to address key barriers to targeting T cells to solid tumors, including tumor heterogeneity, antigen escape and T cell exhaustion.
Our lead program, ALTX-100, is in clinical development for glioblastoma.

ALTX-100
Designed to overcome obstacles that have made cell therapies ineffective for primary brain cancers.
Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common and most aggressive primary brain tumor in adults. It progresses quickly and is highly resistant to treatment, with fewer than 7% of patients surviving five years past their initial diagnosis. There are roughly 15,000 new diagnoses in the U.S. each year, and no therapy has ever been shown to meaningfully extend survival for patients after disease returns following initial treatment.
ALTX-100 offers a potential breakthrough in GBM treatment by giving the immune system two ways to recognize and address the tumor instead of one. Engineered CAR-T cells target EGFRvIII, a mutation found almost exclusively on cancer cells, while the TEAMs they secrete recruit both CAR-T and unmodified T cells to attack EGFR, a marker found on most GBM tumors. Additionally, ALTX-100 is delivered intraventricularly — directly into the cerebrospinal fluid in the brain. This bypasses the blood-brain barrier and concentrates the therapy where it is needed most.
